My birthday's coming up soon! I really should have had a list made by now... I've decided to ask for a dressform, so that I can really advance my sewing skills. I was going to ask for a dollzone doll, but I think that this is more important.... oh well. Another time. I'll also probably put a few little things on the list. Maybe some strapya phone accessories, or a coastal scents palette or something.
I just got out of school last week, and I've kind of been wasting time since then. Lurking about /cgl/ and tumblr, and re-watching Mononoke. ^///^ I really need to make some progress, both with sewing and with my college search.
Last time I posted I listed my "current inspirations"; in other words, things I'm really interested in right now. I like to keep a list to keep track of everthing, so I'm going to do that again here;
- Jun Takahashi's designs, particularly this dress. Creepy monster vibes in airy, whimsical, almost antique-looking fabrics.
- 18th Century Automatons
- Japanese Aidoru culture
- W, Minimoni, Morning Musume, but mostly their songs from early-mid 2000's.
- Embroidery
- Toshiaki Kato
- Gone with the Wind
- Things made out of tulle, chiffon, moire (watered) silk, or velvet
- Chopines
